Lazybag Maindrop system / Mainsail Storage System

Lazybag Maindrop system / Mainsail Storage System protects the sail against UV radiation, moisture, and dirt. Quick and easy to install without drilling: The mainsail storage system is simply pulled into the groove of the boom with the foot of the mainsail.

If the foot of your mainsail is not secured in the boom, check if the boom has this groove. If so, we supply a luff tape. If this tape is too thin, you can also use a line with the correct diameter.

You can simply thread the reef lines through the designated openings. A head cover is included for the front part. The head cover overlaps the lazybag section attached to the boom. The adjustment for the minimum and maximum size is also located in the overlap section.

There is always an open space between the boom cover and the mast; this is normal and allows the system to be mounted on different boom lengths. This space is covered by the head cover when you store the sail. There are four loops sewn on each side instead of using only three. The fourth loop comes out from under the head cover when you use the lazybag at the largest size.

The mainsail storage system is delivered complete with sail battens, head cover, and a detailed manual.Not included are the 2 pulleys for the mast or spreaders and the lazyjack lines(If you order the lazyjack lines together with a maindrop cover in our webshop you automatically receive a €29.95 combo discount at checkout).Available for various boom lengths in 5 colors.

• ✅ Fabric: Sauleda Masacryl Special is a Spanish fabric from Sauleda and weighs 330 gr/m2. We offer this in 5 standard colors, but alternative colors are possible. View the specifications via this link.

• • ✅ Zippers: We use quality zippers from Kroko in Belgium or M-Zippers from Maritex.
  • ✅ Lazyjack lines: For the lazyjack lines we use a specially woven 5 mm tipolest with low friction rings. Woven tipolest does not kink, is very flexible, and highly UV resistant. The lazy-jack lines in 3 or 4 legs must be ordered separately. You will receive a €60 discount when combined with the lazybag.
  • ✅ Sewing thread: We use a very expensive and special PTFE thread from Solarfix. This thread usually outlasts the fabric, thus reducing the chance of loose and worn seams. This guarantees a durable product.
  • ✅ Sail Battens: We use round 12 mm fiberglass battens from Contender which consist of 2 or 3 parts depending on the length. The parts are connected with 10 cm long aluminum connecting tubes 16 x 1.5 mm.
  • ✅ Zipper is sewn concealed so it is protected against UV radiation

All you need to do is measure the boom length and choose the correct cover length. If the head cover does not fit well but the rest does, you can exchange it for a size larger or smaller. Thanks to our smart use of Holdon clips, you can even shorten the cover in both length and height. This is all explained in the manual you can download after ordering and is child’s play.

For boom length from 240 to 280 cm, we recommend size XS

For boom length from 270 to 309 cm, we recommend size S

For boom length from 310 to 359 cm, we recommend size M

For boom length from 360 to 410 cm, we recommend size L

For boom length from 410 to 460 cm, we recommend size XL

For boom length from 460 to 500 cm, we recommend size 2XL

Attention! To install the lazybag, you need 2 pulleys for under the spreaders or on the side of the mast and a lazyjack line set. These are not included by default but can be ordered separately in our webshop.
After ordering, you will have the option to download a detailed manual. A QR code will also be included with the product itself, which you can scan to access this manual.

We can deliver our products in a different color for an additional charge of €125. It is also possible to order an alternative size. The alternative size can be delivered with or without a head cover. Without a head cover, the cover consists of one piece and is delivered without lines or battens. These can be ordered separately for an additional charge. Please note that alternative colors and sizes are made especially for you and therefore cannot be returned.

We try to keep all sizes and colors in stock. If this is not the case, it will be made for you and this takes approximately +/- 10 working days

ATTENTION!! Only if you live outside the EU, so outside Europe, additional costs may be charged for importing this product to your country. You can easily calculate these costs via this link using the HS code 6306.12
