The Saliseal Sunshade fabric with poles is designed to create shade on boats. The advantage of this system is that it tensions itself through the carbon poles which are positioned at a 15-degree angle.

With this system, it is possible to have the fabric follow the shape of the boat without sacrificing space or obstacles. The fabric and frame are easy to disassemble and store. So unlike a traditional bimini, there is no obstacle left on the boat.

You first order the hardware system and mount it on the boat. Before you insert the poles, first measure the distance between the sockets or railing brackets. The measuring point is the center of the holes where the carbon poles will go. Once you know the measurements, look under the heading measuring in how the fabric should be made. Because the deck sockets and railing brackets are positioned at a 15-degree angle and point outward from the boat, the fabric will be nicely taut.

The railing sockets are for a railing diameter of 30 to 32 mm. You mount the railing socket on the part of the railing where it has a stanchion so the socket cannot tilt. The socket outlet is 25.4 mm.

The Saliseal Sunshade fabric can be made from Sunbrella plus, Mehler, or screen fabric.

If you use our Saliseal hardware such as the carbon poles, deck and/or railing sockets, use this measuring method to determine the correct size fabric. It does not have to be exactly the same size. A deviation of a few centimeters is not a problem.
